Siwon and Hankyung made it back to the office only to be greeted by Euiyun. Hankyung followed her and Siwon into the office.
“Hankyung, I need you to look over these files. You should hand Donghae the file with the different names and people, so he can get the information. I’ll call you in when I need you,” Siwon dismissed Hankyung and Euiyun started talking to Siwon.
“So Siwon—“ Hankyung closed the door behind him only to bump into someone.
“Sorry, Hankyung, but is Siwon in?” Hankyung looked up to the voice, and nodded. “Thank you.” Yunho smiled at Hankyung before opening the door and disappearing into the office.
“What was that all about?” Donghae looked at Hankyung then to the door. “Anyways, Leeteuk called, he wants to meet you tomorrow for lunch.” Hankyung nods, and hands Donghae the file of names.
“He told me to give this to you, and something about getting information,” Hankyung shrugged and headed over to the small table in the small lobby.
“Ahh, this is the seating arrangement for Yunho and JaeJoong’s little party/wedding?” Donghae curiously asked.
“I guess,” Hankyung looked up from his files and smiled. He went back to his files sorting them and pulling out ones that were for the other departments. He finished two hours later and smiles, “Donghae, I’m going to run these to Shin Donghee? Which floor is that?” Hankyung looked at Donghae with confusion.
“Shin Donghee… ahh you mean Shindong? He’s on the 31st floor,” Donghae tapped his chin with a pen. “Wait, are those contracts?” Donghae stood up quickly.
“Yeah, why?” Hankyung looked at Donghae.
“I need to look over those, and have Siwon look at them as well,” Donghae smiled and took the contracts from Hankyung. “I can send them down when he’s done looking over them.”
“Okay, I’ll go get these to Eunhyuk,” Hankyung pointed at the portfolio. Donghae nodded and picked up the phone. Hankyung disappeared into the elevator, only to come back out on the 5th floor.
“Hankyung, you have those visuals for me,” Eunhyuk’s head popped out of his office. Hankyung smiled and nodded, “wonderful, if you could come in here for a minute.” Hankyung looked Eunhyuk weirdly before walking towards the office.
“What is it Eunhyuk?” Hankyung stepped into the office.
“The visuals you have there are the final two designs for the next line up and I don’t know which one looks better,” Eunhyuk pulled out the designs and showed them to Hankyung. “I want to put both designs out on the line, but the monkey suits will only have one, so help?” Eunhyuk looked at Hankyung with a pled of help.
Hankyung sighed and sat in the chair, looking at the two designs, “This one, it’s a lot simpler and people like simple.” Hankyung help up the design and looked at his watch. “Lunch,” he mumbled.
“What was that?” Eunhyuk looked up from the design. “I’m glad I asked you, this design is starting to look better than the other one. Thank you,” Eunhyuk nodded at Hankyung as he let himself out.
“Lunch,” Hankyung smiled and headed for the elevator, he disappeared into the elevator until to reappear on the 32nd floor. “Donghae, Kibum-shii,” Hankyung nodded at them as he went towards Siwon’s office door.
“I won’t go in there, Siwon is talking to Yunho still, and Euiyun refuses to leave, I’ve already called Sungmin, who should—“
“Where is she?” Sungmin came in pulling on a purple tie and running a hand through his newly dyed hair. “I was about to go to a business meeting with Kyuhyun and Zhou Mi, this could’ve waited.”
“Not with Yunho in there, they’ve been in there for two hours,” Donghae stated and pulled out Hankyung’s lunch and his own. Donghae turned to Hankyung and handed him his lunchbox, “Thank you for making me lunch.” Donghae sang, before opening it.
Moments later, Euiyun stepped out of the office with a frown on her face, “Siwon wants to see you.” She spat at Hankyung before turning to the elevator. Sungmin sighed and gave Donghae a look before going after Euiyun. Hankyung shrugged and walked to the door and knocked quietly.
“Miss Euiyun said you wanted to see me?” Hankyung knocked on the door. A ‘come in’ was heard through the doors and Hankyung stepped into the office, bowing to Yunho and Siwon.
“Sit,” Siwon commanded, pointing at the sofa that was near the door.
“So, is Hankyung going to the party?” Yunho asked from his seat.
“Yes,” Siwon answered bluntly for Hankyung.
“And you’ll be bringing that girl, Euiyaun?” Yunho waved his hand around.
“Euiyun,” Siwon corrected. “Yes, she’ll be going as well, why do you ask?”
“I thought Hankyung might get lonely, no need to bring two dates, you fox,” Yunho laughed and turned to Hankyung. “Do you have a date to the party?”
“No, but Leeteuk said he was looking into finding me one,” Hankyung answered quietly and politely.
“Ah, Leeteuk and KangIn, lovely couple, those two, I’m hoping they get married soon,” Yunho laughed. “Tell me, Hankyung, how is Siwon treating you? If you’re having trouble, you can tell me and I’ll set him straight.”
“I’m fine, thank you,” Hankyung let out a small smile.
“Well, Siwon I was wondering if you would like to go out of lunch, JaeJoong is worried you’re not eating correctly,” Yunho stood and Hankyung stood out of habit.
“No, I have to look over some contracts and Hankyung made me lunch,” Siwon stood with Yunho and let out a small smile.
“Hankyung?” Yunho raised an eyebrow in Hankyung’s direction before smiling. He turned back to Siwon and leaned in, “Stop by mom and dad’s place, or at least call, they’re worried about you.” Siwon nodded and Yunho came back. Yunho smiled and nodded, “Wonderful, I’ll be seeing you two there then.” Yunho patted Hankyung’s shoulder and showed his way out.
“Hankyung, I need you to go here and pick something up for me,” Siwon wrote an address down on a small piece of paper and handed it to Hankyung. “The driver should be already waiting for you downstairs. Call me when you get it.” Siwon dismissed Hankyung with a wave of his hand and went back to the files and to clicking on his mouse and typing on his keyboard. Hankyung nodded and left the room.
“I need to go to SD Inc.,” Hankyung grabbed his bag and walked over to Donghae’s desk. “Where is SD Inc.?” He looked at Donghae, who was sharing his lunch with Kibum.
“The driver will take you, but it’s on the edge of town, the Shims like the country more than the city,” Donghae looked up from his lunch. “Thank you for the lunch, it’s so good,” Donghae took another bite and smiled.
Hankyung let out a small laugh and nodded, before heading to the elevator, which opened to a Euiyun. She took a look at Hankyung before scoffing and walking into Siwon’s office. Hankyung turned and looked at her, “Does she ever, not drop by?” Hankyung asked Donghae as he stepped into the elevator.
“When that day happens, hell will freeze over,” Donghae laughed and waved bye to Hankyung, as the elevator doors closed. Hankyung smiled and waved back, right before the two doors closed. In the elevator, Hankyung fought the urge to get some shut eye, determined that he should get to the car first.
“Where to, Mister Han?” the driver opened the door.
“To SD Inc. if that’s okay,” Hankyung gave out a small smile as he slid into the car. The driver nodded, before shutting the door. Hankyung decided he should get some shut eye inside the car, seeing that SD Inc. was outside the city. What seemed like hours later, Hankyung was woken by a voice that came from the front, telling him that they were five minutes from SD Inc. Hankyung thanked the driver and pulled out the file he need to present to the receptionist. He looked at the paper, but put it away when the car stopped and the door was opened by the doorman. Hankyung smiled, “Thank you.” He walked into the building and approached the front desk.
“Yes, can I help you?” the receptionist looked up from his nail. He looked Hankyung up and down before smirking.
“I’m here to see Shim Changmin?” Hankyung looked.
“He’s in a meeting right now, you’ll have to wait,” he gave Hankyung a smile. “But I’m free, Kim Heechul,” Heechul introduced himself.
“I’ll wait, where is his office?” Hankyung was obvious of Heechul’s advances.
“His floor is the tenth one,” Heechul smiled and went back to his nails. Hankyung thanked him before pulling out his cellphone.
“Yes, I’ve reached SD Inc, no he’s in a meeting right now, yes I got it—“ Hankyung started at his phone when Siwon hung up, “bye...” Hankyung sighed and stepped onto the elevator going to the tenth floor. Stepping out of the elevator, he looked at the secretary. “Hello, I’m here from Choi Empire.”
“Han—Kyung?” She looked up from her papers, and grimacing, seeing a folder in his hand with Changmin’s name on it.
“Yes, I’m here—“
“Here’s not done with his meeting yet, you’ll have to wait,” she stopped Hankyung and pointed at the chairs, in front of her desk, before going back to her papers.
Minutes later, a tall, young-looking man stepped off the elevator and was talking on his phone, “Yes, I understand, Mother, I have to go now, yes, I’ll see you tonight.” He hung up the phone and turned to Hankyung. “You must be Hankyung, Siwon texted me during the meeting.” He smiled at him and opened his office door, inviting him in. “Jessica, put everything on hold, while I’m talking to Hankyung.”
Jessica nodded, and went back to work; however not before glaring at Changmin. Changmin rolled his eyes at her and smiled at Hankyung, “she’s just angry; because she thinks I’m out I’m seeing someone, other than her.” Hankyung let out a small smile and nodded. “So you’re here for the package and the contracts.”
Hankyung looked confused at Changmin, “I guess… Choi-shii didn’t really tell what I was getting.”
“Of course, Siwon-Hyung is like that,” Changmin laughs and pulled out a package from one of his many desk drawers. “This is the prototype for the latest design and technology for the new heart monitor. It’s not to scale just yet, because he wants to try it first but the design is what Eunhyuk sent me months ago and the technology is from JungSu-hyung’s company.” Changmin handed Hankyung the package.
“Yes, thank you, and I believe that these are for you,” Hankyung hands Changmin a folder. “I’m pretty sure it’s invoices between your company and Choi-shii’s company.”
“Yes, thank you,” Changmin smiles and looks at the time. “I must get going Hankyung, I have a lunch date.” Changmin rubs the back of head sheepishly.
“Yes, I’m sorry for taking so long then,” Hankyung stood, taking the box with him. Changmin walked him to the door and bid him bye before disappearing back into the room. As Hankyung waited for the elevator, his phone rang. He pulled it out and it was Donghae. He looked at the phone momentarily before answer it. “Hello? Donghae-shii… I’m about to step onto the elevator, yes I’m coming back. I think the driver is already here, yes I’ll see you soon then.” Hankyung sighed and placed the phone into his bag, careful not to drop the package, before stepping onto the elevator. Hankyung came off the elevator on the first floor and there was the driver waiting at the door.
“We meet again,” Heechul looked up from his nails, and smiled at Hankyung.
“I guess we do,” Hankyung walks past Heechul, towards the driver, who had the door opened and ready to take the package from Hankyung.
“Here,” Heechul placed a post-it on the package. He winked before going back to his nails. Hankyung looked at the post-it before continuing on to car. Getting into the car, Hankyung looked at the post-it again, before realizing it was Heechul’s number. Hankyung silently laughed and shook his head. The ride back to Choi Empire was a quiet one, save for the classical music that was playing in the front.
“Hankyung-shii, we’ve arrived,” the driver informed Hankyung, who had dozed off. Hankyung smiled and exits the car. Thanking the driver before he headed into the building. He expertly dodged the rushed people, that running back and forward. He made his way over to the elevator and disappeared behind the closed door before anyone else could get on. He smiled at himself, getting a whole elevator to himself. Moments later he reappeared on the thirty second floor.
“Hankyung, you’ve come back,” Donghae joked. “Did the aliens take you to their planet?”
Hankyung laughed before shaking his head no, “I’m sorry, Donghae. There were no aliens.” He took the post-it off the package, stuffing it into his bag before turning towards Siwon’s door.
“I won’t go in there yet, Siwon and one of his many business partners are in there,” Donghae advised and Hankyung listened. “Thank you for the lunch again, it was sooo~ good.” Donghae praised. “I think you should keep making lunch for me?”
Hankyung laughed and thought about it, “Every other day, then.”
Soon later, two suited men came out of Siwon’s office, shaking hands with Siwon, “We’ll be in contact them, Choi-shii.” Siwon nodded and the two men, turned to leave.
“Hankyung,” Siwon called for him from his room. Hankyung put down his phone, where he was playing a game, and walked into Siwon’s office with the package. Walked towards Siwon’s desk, he noticed how messy it was and how disorganized Siwon looked; quietly he set the package down and backed away. “Sit,” Siwon pointed at the chair. He rubbed his eyes before looking at Hankyung. “I need you to do these things for me. I’ll be going out of
Hankyung looked at Siwon, “Did you eat yet?” He asked quietly, hoping he didn’t fuel to the headache that Siwon had.
“No, not yet,” Siwon answered, closing his eyes and turning his chair, silently dismissing Hankyung from the room.
Hankyung bowed and left the room; he looked at the file and sighed. It was going to one busy week; along with the party he was supposed to attend with some mystery girl Eeteuk would be choosing for him. Hankyung looked at Donghae and sighed, seeing how easy his job looked. Hankyung grabbed his bag and headed for the elevator for his first job on the never-ending list.
