Chapter Six
Hankyung slowly woke up, and the blanket fell off his body. He looked around, not remembering where he was.
“How did I get down here?” he looked at the clock on the wall and frowned. It was only three in the morning, he got up and grabbed his things and began his journey up the stairs. Reaching his room, he threw his things on the sofa that was placed there, when he had just arrived and went to shower. After his shower, he decided to eat before going to sleep, then going back to work again. He left his room, and noticed how pitch black the house was. He had remembered coming home he had seen red high heels, he went to the door, and they were no longer there. He smiled, without realizing it and headed for the kitchen. He fixed a little snack then headed for sleep.
Four hours later, he was woken by a bounce on his bed.
“Hankyung, wake up! It is
“Go away, and come back in three years,” Hankyung mumbled and Donghae laughed.
“No, come on, Siwon asked you to come in early so he could take you out to a breakfast meeting,” Donghae poked Hankyung’s side.
“No, no work today,” Hankyung hid more into his blanket.
“Come on, or I’ll call Eeteuk and KangIn,” Hankyung shot out from under the blankets.
“Are you crazy, they’ll go crazy,” Hankyung ended his sentence in Chinese.
Donghae laughed, “I know, that’s why I said I would call them.” Hankyung groaned and rolled out of bed. “That’s the spirit.” Donghae laughed again, and watched Hankyung drag his feet to the bathroom, which made his laugh even harder. Hankyung mumbled his way into the bathroom, speaking in Chinese making Donghae roll off the bed in laugher.
Hankyung soon, came out of the bathroom, refreshed and less tired looking. “What did you say about Siwon, earlier?”
“He wants you in a breakfast meeting with KangIn and Eeteuk,” Donghae informed him as he got dressed.
“I see,” he fixed his tie, and frowned, then switched it out for another one. “Hungry?” Hankyung asked
“Am I always,” Donghae smarted at Hankyung and Hankyung nodded, heading out his room he walked down the stairs and into the kitchen, where he fixed a small breakfast for himself and Donghae. Then made lunch for himself, Donghae, and Siwon, not liking the idea that he didn’t see Siwon eat the day before and Donghae went out usually. He packed the lunched and called for Donghae.
“Donghae, here’s your lunch, and did Siwon tell you where it was?”
“No, he wants you at the office before you go,” Donghae looks at his wrist watch, “You better go, Siwon is waiting for you.”
Hankyung nods, and runs out the kitchen, grabbing his things on the way out. He barely misses the door, which was opening to reveal a tired Kibum. He smiles at him, and runs out the door to the car, waiting for him. Kibum looks at Hankyung, then Donghae, who was laughing at Hankyung.
In the car, Hankyung had gotten a call from Eeteuk.
“Hankyung, are you coming to breakfast?” He sounds cheerful and even looks cheerful on the screen. Hankyung looked clueless at the screen, causing Eeteuk laughs, “you can just talk you know, there’s a speaker above the screen, it’s a phone.”
Hankyung smiles, “I’m coming, but Donghae said I had to go to the office first, and then leave there with Siwon.”
Eeteuk nods into the phone, in the distance Hankyung heard KangIn, “will would you hurry up, Eeteuk isn’t letting me drive to the place until he knows that you guys are on the way, and I’m hungry.”
Hankyung laughs, “I should be getting the building soon, and it shouldn’t be long, before Siwon and I leave.”
“Don’t take to long, KangIn is a bear when he comes to food,” Eeteuk gives Hankyung his motherly smile and the screen goes black. The driver stopped the car and nodded at Hankyung. Hankyung smiled and thanked the driver and ran into the building, hoping that Siwon didn’t wait too long. Hankyung then got onto the elevator and tapped his foot, hoping that he wasn’t late.
“I’m here,” Hankyung opened the doors to Siwon’s office to find Euiyun sitting on the other side of the desk.
“Good, we need to go to the breakfast with Eeteuk and KangIn. I’m sorry, Euiyun, you’re going to have to leave. We’ll discuss this later” Siwon stood up and grabbed his jacket, leaving the room with Hankyung in tow.
“Siwon,” Euiyun demanded, as Siwon closed the door on her.
“Noisy woman,” Siwon rubbed the bridge of his nose and sighed. Hankyung looked over at Siwon out of the corner of his eye and nodded. “I want you in my office, today, no running around.”
Hankyung beamed, he didn’t like the idea of having to run around the whole building. “Okay,” Hankyung smiled at Siwon and exited the elevator with him.
Siwon was taken back by the smile Hankyung had just flashed him and when he tries to do the same, the elevator door opens. He quickly keeps the straight face and walks out of the elevator, feeling Hankyung walking behind, and heads for the car that was parked in the front.
“To, CratenLand,” Siwon directed the driver as he closed the door. A quiet yes sir was heard in the front of the car, and it drove off to the restaurant. Hankyung looked out the window and smiled at the people passing by. Siwon looked over at Hankyung and gave a small smile, but as quickly as it came it disappeared as he called for Hankyung’s attention. “Hankyung, as you know my brother’s wedding is coming up. I’ll be going with Euiyun and you’ll be coming along.”
“But why do I need to go?” Hankyung looked at Siwon.
“You’re my assistant, Euiyun is simply the date. There I want you to meet the different company CEOs, I want you familiar with everyone,” Siwon explained and handed Hankyung a file. “I want to have a look at his file, that’s the guest list and Donghae is getting the info on everyone that I think you should know.”
Hankyung looked at the file and nodded.
“The people highlighted at people I want you to look at first, the people with crosses I don’t want you to even pay attention to them, people circled are I want you to know, but not pay much attention to, understand?”
“Yes, sir,” Hankyung slipped the file into his bag and Siwon pulled out another file. Hankyung began to wonder if his jacket was magic, files were appearing out of no where. Siwon handed Hankyung three more files.
“These files are to be sent to three different companies. I want you to look at them, and make sure they are perfect. Then have Donghae send them,” Siwon instructed.
Hankyung took note at what Siwon had said, and slipped the files into his bag. The car then stopped and Siwon opened the door. Hankyung opened his own door and quickly walked over to Siwon, where he was already talking with Eeteuk and KangIn.
Eeteuk smiled at Hankyung and went over to him, “How are you this fine morning?” Eeteuk flashed his motherly smile.
“Food,” KangIn simply said as he pulled Eeteuk into the restaurant, who talked with Hankyung. Siwon spoke with KangIn, about company things, but he didn’t hear much because he was listening to Eeteuk.
“So, Siwon, this business deal with Kyuhyun and ZhouMi’s company, let’s see it,” KangIn said as they were seated in the back of the restaurant.
Siwon pulled out another file and Hankyung was really starting to believe that his jacket was some magically jacket. Eeteuk looked at Hankyung and nudged him. “What’s wrong?” He whispered, worried that Hankyung didn’t like the restaurant.
“Siwon has a magically jacket,” Hankyung whispered back. Eeteuk looked at Hankyung and laughed quietly.
“Eeteuk what do you think of this?” KangIn handed the contract to Eeteuk, and began to look at the menu.
Eeteuk frowns at KangIn, seeing that he had begun looking at the menu, “Did you even look at this?”
“It’s Siwon, I trust him to look at it and tell me the important details, so I don’t have to look for them,” KangIn look at Eeteuk and smiled.
Eeteuk rolled his eyes and turned to Siwon, “It’s not that I don’t trust you, Siwon, but I’ll take this and remember it to you tomorrow, when I look over the details and fine information.”
“I understand,” Siwon handed Hankyung a menu. “Pick something.”
Hankyung looked at the menu, with a confused look, as he put words together.
“Hankyung, are you okay?” Eeteuk asked.
“I’m fine,” He flashes a smile and the waiter comes over.
“I’ll be serving you this morning, what would you like to order?”
“I’ll have Jeyukbokkeum,” Hankyung ordered first.
“I’ll have Ramyeon,” Eeteuk ordered second.
“I’ll have Ojingeo deopbap,” KangIn ordered next.
“And I’ll have Bibimguksu,” Siwon handed the waiter his menu.
The waiter nodded and bowed, “They’ll be out soon.”
Eeteuk waited until the waiter was out of hearing range, “Siwon, will you be going to Yunho’s wedding?”
“Yes, with
“Oh, and Hankyung do you have a date?” Eeteuk asked as he leaned on his elbows.
“I don’t think I’ll be having a date, “ Hankyung blushed.
“I see,” Eeteuk smiled and their food arrived. The rest of the time, Eeteuk and KangIn spoke with Siwon about business.
“We better get going then,” Siwon stood up and shook hands with Eeteuk and KangIn. Eeteuk hugged Hankyung before they both left the restaurant. Siwon and Hankyung said their final good-byes before getting into the limo.
